Telehealth Foundational Research
Project Overview
The Challenge
Evexia seeks to provide users with an opportunity to track personal wellness. On the backend, Evexia (with participant’s permission) codes the data collected to inform and improve mental health research. With the numerous options to track health and wellness, Evexia needs to remain competitive to what users desire while maintaining the integrity of the data.
In response to feedback that a browser-based platform was not efficient, our primary goal was to understand what users desire from health-tracking mobile apps.
My Role
With business goals in mind, I planned and executed an in-depth research study to provide meaningful insights for the product roadmap. My main tasks included:
Develop and implement a recruitment plan
Design and distribute a diary study questionnaire
Conduct in-depth interviews with participants to gain further insight and context on their experiences
Analyze and synthesize data to identify patterns, themes, and insights to inform product design decisions.
Research Process
The research team joined forces with the Evexia Product Manager to uncover the goals and user feedback. It became clear that the lack of a mobile interface or app was hindering user engagement and retention. To shed light on what users wanted from a mobile health tracking experience, we embarked on an ambitious project: diary studies. Participants were asked to provide daily responses to surveys about mental health and wellness. We also complemented this data collection with insightful follow-up interviews. The data was collected over a span of three weeks and then meticulously analyzed to present to stakeholders. Our presentation was packed with findings and recommendations, and we also highlighted opportunities for further research and testing.
